The Best Location - We are based in Vassiliki on the beautiful Greek island of Lefkas, which, with its award winning beaches and incredible scenery, is justifiably known as the jewel in the Ionian sea. Our location for a sailing holiday, with our accommodations set in beautiful, landscaped gardens and with views over to the nearby islands of Ithaca and Cephalonia could hardly be improved upon. What’s more it’s just a short (2hr 50 min) flight with only a 1hr transfer along the beautiful east coast of the island to our centre in the south.
The Best Conditions - Vassiliki is famous for its wind conditions, with its light morning breezes perfect for beginners to learn the basics and for those more skilled to perfect their techniques, whilst the strong cross-shore winds almost every afternoon provide excitement for even the most experienced of sailors and windsurfers. Most importantly the bay is enclosed on three sides making it a safe environment for everyone.
The Best Equipment - Our fleet includes everything ranging from simple beginner boats such as Laser’s Pico, right through to extreme performance equipment including 49er, RS 800, SB3, Tornado, F18 Hobie Tigers and pretty much everything else in between. There’s something for everybody and providing you have the ability you can try the entire range if you want... though you'll need at least a fortnight!
The Best Instructors - Of course Wildwind is an RYA recognised centre, but unlike many sailing holiday centres, we offer their entire range of dinghy and multihull courses for no extra charge - just let us know when you arrive that you are keen. Our instructors are a standard above anyone else - most have a serious racing pedigree and some have even won National championships. You can even join in special training weeks at the beginning of the season with Olympic coaches.

Vassiliki’s pretty fishing village with its harbourside tavernas and bars is also just a few minutes walk along the beach. Wildwind have been in Vassiliki for over 20 years and our clients receive a warm welcome wherever they go.
So Much to do - Even if you weren’t remotely interested in sailing there’s still an enormous amount to do and see in and around Vassiliki and the island of Lefkas. On site we offer our unique ‘Healthy-Options’ package providing a variety of yoga, Pilates and fitness classes as well as guided walks, mountain bike rides, kayaking, aqua-safaris, diving, sight-seeing and, of course, just lazing around the pool. We also provide a ‘Kids Club’ in peak season so that you can have a little bit more time to yourselves. We really do have something for everyone!
